2020 IAU 50 km World Championships(Aqaba, Jordan) – Cancelled

依據冠狀病毒（Covid-19）疫情在約旦的發展情勢，很遺憾，IAU與LOC不得不發布公告，原定今年11月的2020 IAU 50K世錦賽最終決議「取消」。

全球疫情已嚴重影響各項錦標賽的舉辦，許多國家嚴格限制國際間旅行、會赴隔離與其他安全防疫措施，並且建議民眾留在室內避免感染。雖然曾預期疫情在夏季後會有所改善，但事實並非如此，世界各國的Covid-19感染情形仍居高不下。

IAU在做出此決定時，最優先也最重要的就是考慮運動員，工作人員和觀眾的健康和福祉，希望每個人都能平安健康。

Following the development of the coronavirus situation in Jordan and across the region, it is with regret that we have to inform you of the cancellation of the 2020 IAU 50 km World Championships that was planned for 27th November in Aqaba, Jordan.

The current international situation would have seriously compromised the championships as many countries are now restricting international travel, returning to quarantines and other safety measures and advising citizens to remain indoors to prevent infection. It was expected that situation would have improved around summer but this is not the case and in many countries the Covid 19 virus infection rate remains high.

The IAU and the LOC were unanimous in that the championships could not be held in this situation, as we are ever mindful that first and foremost, we had to consider the health and well-being of our athletes, officials and spectators in making this decision.
