隨著印度Covid-19冠狀病毒疫情發展，很遺憾，原定於今年9月5日在印度舉行的 2021 IAU 100公里亞洲及大洋洲錦標賽 確認延期。預計在2023年的同一日期舉辦。
由於印度因疫情嚴峻處於鎖國階段。目前的狀況將嚴重影響錦標賽的舉辦，並使各國代表團隊面臨風險。此外，許多國家仍嚴格限制國際間旅行、恢復隔離與其他安全防疫措施。雖然預期未來疫情可能會有所改善，但考量到時間限制，『延期』是正確的決定。
在這種情況下，無法舉行錦標賽是IAU和LOC間的共識。IAU在做出此決定時，最優先也最重要的就是考慮運動員，工作人員和觀眾的健康和福祉，希望每個人都能平安健康。
Following the development of the coronavirus situation in India, it is with regret that we need to inform you of the postponement of the 2021 IAU 100 km Asia & Oceania Championships that was planned for 5th September in Bengaluru, India. It is proposed to move the Championships to the next slot for the continental championships with the same date in 2023.
The country is in a state of lockdown due to the pandemic and high number of cases now. The current situation would have seriously compromised the championships and put athletes and team management at risk. In addition, there are still countries restricting international travel, returning to quarantine and other safety measures. It is expected that situation would improve but we believe this is the right decision considering time constraints.
The IAU and the LOC were unanimous in that the championships could not be held in this situation, as we are ever mindful that first and foremost, we had to consider the health and well-being of our athletes, officials and spectators in making this decision.
